Joe was born and raised in Wallingford, and graduated from Sheehan High School in 1995.  Joe graduated from Sacred Heart University with a B.S. in Political Science 4 years later.  He has been employed at the Allstate Insurance Company since the year 2000, working most recently with the small business owners that are Allstate Agents.

Joe lives in town with his beautiful wife, Mindy, and their 3 sons, Joey, Jake and Luke, who all attend Wallingford Public Schools.

Joe successfully ran for the Board of Education in 2009 and was re-elected twice, serving as Vice-Chairperson for the Board Instructional Committee for his first term and as Board Vice-Chairman for the latter two terms.  While on the Board, Joe served on the School Security Advisory Committee which was convened after the Sandy Hook tragedy, and was the Board liaison to the School Roofing Committee responsible for re-roofing 10 schools.

In 2015, there were two empty seats for the Town Council, vacated by Republicans, and Joe left the Board of Education to successfully run for one of the Council openings.  On the Council, Joe serves on the Merit Review Committee and the Technology Committee.  His primary focus on the Council is to keep Wallingford affordable by maintaining low taxes and responsible budgeting.
